After a successful recreation season last year, the Recreation Division of the Town of Ferdinand Parks Board offers its second summer of free recreation programs to area youth ages 4 - 9. The programs will utilize the 18th Street Park and run from 9 – 11 a.m. The program for 4-, 5-, and 6-year-olds is offered on Tuesdays throughout the summer.
Each recreation program will incorporate activities involving competitions and games, arts and crafts, and sports. The programs are free to attend and there is no need to sign up in advance.
Specific activities throughout the summer will vary from program to program and include nature walks, coloring, clay and paper crafts, homemade ice cream, parachute and group games, scavenger hunts, and relay races.
