Child Car Seat Installation

The Ferdinand Police Department wishes to advise area citizens to be safe on the roads during the summer driving season.  Safe travels also include making certain all passengers are buckled up and/or properly restrained.  For persons with young children, please be sure that all child safety or booster seats are correctly installed.  If you have questions about how to install a child safety seat or to make sure the existing seat is hooked up properly, contact Sgt. Brian Seffernick of the Ferdinand Police Department at 482-9150.  He will set an appointment time for a person to come to the Police Station for a child safety seat demonstration. Sgt. Seffernick will check to see if your seat is properly installed, will make any necessary adjustments for correct installation.  Sgt. Seffernick will then demonstrate how to remove and install the child safety seat correctly and also have the parent and/or guardian do a demonstration to make sure they grasp the concept.  Again, the contact number to set up an appointment is 482-9150.
