2020 Program Cancelled due to COVID-19 Circumstances

The Recreation Division of the Town of Ferdinand Park Department offers free summer programs to area youth ages 4 - 9. The programs, which utilize the 18th Street Park, run from 9-11 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays throughout the summer. The programs are free to attend, and it is not necessary to sign up in advance.

Each recreation program will incorporate activities involving arts and crafts, sports, competitions, and games. Various activities from past summers include sports such as kickball, whiffle ball, dodgeball, and tag; arts and crafts include paper crafts, planting your own flowers, making a homemade bird feeder, and making homemade ice cream; competitions and games include relay races, parachute games, scavenger hunts, and group games.

Very few places can truly blend natural beauty, agriculture and industrial development the way Ferdinand does. The strong elements of faith, religion, family values, work ethics, sense of community, and respect and appreciation of environment form the foundation upon which Ferdinand was built, and continues to grow.
